Setting tax rates
At a Special Meeting of the Council of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania held on December 19, 1986 this Resolution was adopted and approved fixing the rate of Tax (under Act 511) for the year 1987.
Resolved and is hereby resolved and enacted by the Council of the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
That a tax be and the same is hereby levied on all property and occupations within said municipality, subject to taxation for the fiscal year 1987, as follows
The rate for general purposes 6:49 mills on each dollar as the sum of 64.9 cents on each One Hundred Dollars of assessed valuation. Increased two (2) mills from 1986 to provide the Borough with $14,550.00 on the total Valuation of $2,241,890.00 to cover the loss of $7,500 Federal Revenue Sharing Monies.
1 Revenue sharing program was deleted as of September 30 1986. $10.00 Occupations Privilege tax, $5.00 - per Capita, 1/2 -1% earn income tax, 1/2 to 1% real estate transfer tax. The above taxes have been re-enacted without change for 1987.
