The Medical Center sits between First & Second Street along McKinley Street.  Bolivar was without the services of a physican  since Dr. Leroy Reese passed away in 1953.  The community raised funds in the amount of $10,300.00 in donations and the Medical Center was constructed largely with volunteer labor.  When it was completed it was dedicated as the William P. Hirsh Medical Center and still is in operation today under the care of the Indiana Regional Center as a doctor's office.
